After months of trying to catch up with editing weddings and juggling my personal life affairs
I finally got round to editing these. I am feeling well excited about how this alternative boudoir project turned out and I am sure that Hana, my model, is more than happy to finally see the results. Shot outside at the end of summer. I had a tulle skirt made by my friend which we matched with whatever black me and Hana had in our wardrobes. Make-up and hair styling by moi :)

I always wanted to do a boudoir photo shot that would be a bit different, a bit poetic, less obvious but still beautiful and strong. This was my first project. Loved it. Got into it so much, I found it hard to stop, as I kept coming up with new ideas. But you have to feel compassion towards your model, especially if it is a friend of yours! Well, it is a hard life to be a model J I have asked my friend if we could use his attic, he normally uses for storing bits and bobs but I knew it would be perfect for what I wanted to do. We had to move a few things around but also found some cool props that we used. Such as dry flowers, an old embroidered picture and a broken wooden chair. Make up and hair was sorted, so off we went shooting away. I hope there will be more of these type of sessions to come as I already have ideas that I would just love to try out. |
