Jess & Joe everyone!
Wedding Photographer Cambridge, Bassmead Manor Barns
In their own words...
We knew we wanted a relaxed wedding with our closest friends and family and that we wanted to be able to put our own stamp on our wedding day. We didn’t exactly know where we wanted to tie the knot as our guests were coming from all over the country, so we’re really pleased that we found Bassmead as it was a beautiful venue and also central for everyone!
To us, a wedding day is all about love! And so we wanted those who we loved most of all to be there, celebrating with us. We didn’t want anything too formal, we wanted everyone to have fun and enjoy themselves – including ourselves!
We absolutely loved Bassmead Manor Barns – as soon as we saw the Rickety Barn we knew that was the place where we wanted to get married. It’s such a great venue, all the staff are amazing and know exactly how to make sure your day runs smoothly and the food was incredible!
Winter wedding photographer, The Dairy Barns, Norfolk
Emma had always wanted to have a winter wedding as it is her favourite season so when Nick proposed in New York on Boxing day in 2014, it made her want it more so. She wanted something a bit different and Christmas trees, holly and mulled wine was right up her street. Bellow is Emma’s winter wedding story in her own words.
Hannah & Jason's college wedding, Cambrige
Being Hannah & Jason’s wedding photographer felt like stepping back in time into the wonderful glamorous era of 20s. I suddenly found myself being a part of an old movie classic! Historic city of Cambridge is well known for its colleges and was a perfect backdrop for their vintage themed wedding. They even had a dixie band playing in the garden during the afternoon reception in the college gardens which was absolutely fabulous.
Emily and Sam's wedding at Lillibrooke Manor, Berkshire
Emily and Sam’s relaxed countryside/shabby-chic barn wedding. Informal but still keeping a few traditions that were important to them. The main thing was for their guests to feel relaxed and able to enjoy the day as much as possible.
They really wanted a venue which had a ‘chapel/church’ style room for us to take their vows. They wanted the day to be relaxed for everyone and this was reflected in their style of wedding, which is shabby chic, with quirky and handmade touches. Lillibrooke Manor was perfect for that.
Hertfordshire wedding photography, St Barnabas Centre
Despite currently living in a city, Emma is a country bumpkin at heart and wanted something that came across as relaxed and not too formal to suit their personalities. She always wanted a campervan too – something fun rather than fancy and searched for ages to find Molly the VW!
The wedding venue, St Barnabas centre (great location for wedding photography!) is 5 minutes from where Emma grew up – in fact one can practically see it from her parent’s house and she used to always dream of getting married there when she was younger. Emma loved the fact that the barn was a bit of a blank canvas for you to decorate how you want and there was plenty of space which meant it was perfect for getting people mingling.
