Lavender field wedding photography
This is my former schoolmate Janka and her husband Paul.
They got married abroad and also planned to have
their rock the dress
(some call it cherish the dress) shoot there too.
Alas... on the day
it was all supposed to happen, it rained.
When Janka got back to UK
she got in touch and asked me if I would like shoot this for her
and her shiny new husband. She has always dreamt of having
wedding photos taken in lavender field. Can you blame her?
Of course not! :) We met one very hot
June afternoon at the fields
of The Hop Shop, in Kent. Barefoot,
no special make-up or hair artist
involved, Janka still looked million dollar. We did not even
haveany flowers, just a little lavender we picked.
I was really excited
about this shoot and it turned out fantastic!
Two happy people,
very much in love, cherishing their time together
in a beautiful late afternoon sunshine...
A great celebration of their "happily ever after"
Janka and Paul. Thank you so much for inviting me to take these special photos for you. xxx
Spring blossom, floral wreath and a bit of vintage…
Location: Girton, Cambridgeshire
Now and then I go out to look out for some new engagement location settings.
One day I found this little gem, a wild orchard of trees that I knew would look just wonderful in spring
when everything is blooming. So the great search started: a vintage wedding dress, original 70’s Pronuptia,
a floral wreath (I am a big fan of floral wreaths) from Etsy and someone to turn into a woodland fairy.
In spring I kept checking it out and then the day of the shooting came.
Trees in full bloom, the sun shining, my friend looking beautiful, me shooting away...all was great until it started raining!
Thank god we were almost done by then. You can see the results below.
