Location: The Gonville Hotel Cambridge, Jesus College Chapel, Madingley Village Hall
That sunny Friday I met Anna getting ready at The Gonville Hotel Cambridge. Hair, makeup, the dress.
Or dresses rather, as Anna had one for the Friday ceremony and one for the Saturday wedding party. Anna looked wonderful.
I really liked her whimsical hairdo with little flower hair pins. Anna’s bridesmaid had real daisy flowers in theirs.
Small, warm touches like these, made Marks and Anna’s Big day unique and truly theirs. The ceremony took place
at the beautiful chapel of Jesus College, lightened only with candles and natural light streaming from the vitrage windows.
Anna got married barefoot, leaving her shoes in front of the chapel entrance. Rather romantic, I thought. One of the readings
was a poem “The Duck and the Kangaroo” by Edward Lea. After drinks on the grounds of Jesus College and the meal
at the Three Horseshoes I met already happily married Anna and Mark again for their “Saturday night fever” of ceilidh dancing. Everyone loved it, me including.
PS: Check out the wedding cakes - Edible flowers on Friday and two penguins on Saturday made by Anna’s dad.
